“All that is valuable in human society depends upon the opportunity for development accorded to the individual”, says Albert Einstein. Although fine arts, performing arts, creative writing and are the subjects which need a very artistic and trained approach, Arts subjects help students develop and practice their creative skills and then perform arts to serve as their part of the society to earn a living. After post modernism Marxist school of thought adopted the approach of hegemony being created and affected by course, Students are being injected with the same ideology for the benefit of those in power. Therefore, Universities should teach arts subjects as part of their core subjects as they are proven to give children an exposure which covers almost everything we as a nation want from our youngsters and demand from our universities: improved academic performance, confidence, social and economic development, civic engagement, good income, collaboration and even unity as a nation.
Program based learning and arts do not only develop a child’s creativity—the skills they learn because of them spill over into academic skills. Nevertheless, Art based learning have scientifically proven to affect behavior, decrease stress and effect the psyche of humans. It allows students to express themselves better than theory based computer or physics. For example,  In an arts program, students will be asked to recite a monologue in 6 different ways, create a painting that represents a memory, or compose a new rhyme to enhance a piece of music. If students practice thinking creatively, it will come naturally to them now and in their future career. PBS, A report by Americans for the Arts states that young people who regularly take part in arts (three hours a day on three days each week through one full year) are more likely to be recognized for academic achievement, to participate in a math and science fair.
Music education provides students with a chance to improve their cognitive and language skills. Relative research has found that learning music encourages learning other subjects and improve skills that children inevitably use in other areas.
So, making music involves more than the voice or fingers. Playing an instrument; a child learning about music has to tap into multiple skill sets, often simultaneously. The effect of music education on language development can be seen in the brain. Moreover,  musical training physically develops the part of the left side of the brain known to be involved with processing language, and can actually wire the brain’s circuits in specific ways. Hence, linking familiar songs to new information can also help imprint information on young minds.
Arts is an important form of mental development, it can create the norm of unity and help students find alternate methods of income. As musicians such as hip hop artists are most listened to, students can generate consensus via music. While proponents of arts education have long asserted that creative training can help develop skills translating into other areas of academics, little research had been done to investigate the scientific component. Aspects of training in the arts, like motor control, attention and motivation, were studied by researchers who got some interesting results. In one four-year study, students undertaking regular music training were found to have changes in their brain structures helping them transfer their motor skills to similar areas. Moreover, students who spent their time with focused attention on art increased the efficiency of their attention network as a whole, even when working in other areas of study —and it improved their fluid IQ scores. Other studies reported similar scientific findings on the arts’ impact on the brain, showing that sustained arts education is can be essential part of social and intellectual development. A lot of students from financially challenged backgrounds are seen being flourished in creativity such as vlogs, blogs, online content, which increases their opportunities of growth and provides them with an alternate way to earn bread for themselves. Students who earn through their art tend to have lesser stress levels as they love creating new and amazing things for the community for a good cause.
By and large large, arts students do appear to experience positive developmental benefits from their arts study that extend beyond adolescence into adulthood. Further research examining these and other developmental outcomes of arts and non-arts students is needed to extend and solidify the research base on arts education as a context for positive youth development. Moreover, arts helps students have a sense of identity and uniqueness. Using drama and music for teaching purposes has proven to be of benefit to the students and eventually the very community we live in. Subjects ranging from cognitive thinking to memory and instinct are practiced and infused on the future brains of the country through program based learning. Hence, universities should have music, arts, performing arts and creative writing as their core curriculum.
