1 What is Human Geography? Human Geography can be clarified in such a significant number of manners and perspectives. To put it in simple words, it is a branch that studies people and places, how people communicate with each other, and furthermore how the space and society is sorted out. Be that as it may, above all, how individuals understand themselves and each other in their territory, district, and world. As of twenty first century, the world accommodates over one hundred and ninety countries, many religions, thousands of ancient and modernized languages, and different types of communities. Because they are all in one big world, they influence each other and take each other’s characteristics. For example, when Christians, Muslims, and Jews lived together in Al-Andalous, today’s Spain, they influenced each other. As a result a new language was born: Spanish. It is a mixture of Arabic, Latin, and several local languages. Understanding and clarifying this assorted variety is the mission of human geography. The word “globalization” is one of the most important words in human geography. Globalization is an arrangement of procedures that are expanding associations, extending connections, and increasing reliance disregarding country borders. For example, the sport basketball was invented in 1891 by James Naismith in America. It quickly spread internationally after its creation. Today, numerous countries organize their own basketball leagues, and players from different nationalities compete in international tournaments. As a conclusion, it can be said that human geography is people’s interactions with each other based on globalization. 2 What are geographic questions ? Geography is recognized by the kinds of inquiries it asks. So basically, the “where” and “why there” questions are questions that describe geography in the best manner. The geographer Marvin Mikesell liked to define geography in shorthand as the “why of where”. Why and how things gather in certain places to produce a final outcome? Why certain places contain particular thing while other places do not ? What does a place mean to its region, its people, and to the world ? Questions like these help us define the term geography. They also help us comprehend certain specifications that geography provides. Besides the questions that need to be answered, there are plenty of words that need to be defined in order to understand the term geography, such as location. Location can easily be defined as “a particular place or position”. But it creates one of the most important bases of human and physical geography. The term “sense of place” has a big effect in human geography as well. It helps us understand how a person gets affected by a place. For example, Mexicans see their own culture, food, and traditions in certain cities of Texas, and that affects them. Like the two terms that were explained, there are plenty of other terms and questions that help us define the word geography. As a result, it can be said that geographic questions and geographic terms help us understand and comprehend geography. 3 Why do geographers use maps, and what do maps tell us ? Maps are enormously important for geography. They are used by geographers for various of different needs, to make political propaganda, solve medical problems,  wage a war, perceive locations, bring relief to refugees, warn of natural hazards, etc. There are several different types of maps such as reference maps and thematic maps. Reference maps concentrate on exactness in demonstrating the absolute location of places, locations dictated by an edge of reference, normally latitude and longitude. For example, a reference map can easily show a country, a region, or even the world itself by using latitudes and longitudes. On the other hand, thematic maps tell stories, regularly demonstrating the level of some characteristic or the development of a geographic phenomenon. For example, the number of people who have voted for our president Donald Trump, and the number of people who have voted for Hillary Clinton can both be easily shown in a thematic map by using different colors to represent each kind of voters. Briefly, geographers can use maps for different needs depending on their intentions. Therefore, it can be said that maps show to its users what they want to see depending on what they are looking at it for.   4 Why are geographers concerned with scale and connectedness ?Geographers study a single phenomena across different scales in order to see how what is happening in a global scale and how that particular thing affects localities. They also look at it in a local scale and see how that affects the rest of the world. To put it in simple words, geographers use scale to see how is what affected in various of different scales. That helps them understand the specifications of that particular phenomena. For example, when a country’s wealthiness is studied, it can seem like it actually is a wealthy country in a global scale, but it might not be so in a local scale, meaningly that particular country’s certain parts are poor. The connectedness between individuals or nature is one of the most important things that geographers need to contemplate in human geography. This implies that there are numerous ways that individuals can remain associated with other individuals that live in a different countries disregarding the country borders. Which means that connectedness usually causes a cultural diffusion that results a culture to spread from a country to another. For example, the jeans were first invented in America and quickly spread around the world after its creation. Therefore, people on the other side of the world, Europe, started to wear it. This is a perfect example of connectedness through diffusion. As a conclusion it can be said that scale is really important for human geography and helps geographers to understand how things affect each other from different scales. Connectedness is also really important for geographers, because it helps them understand how a culture gets spread from its hearth. 5 What are geographic concepts, and how are they used in answering geographic questions ? Geographic concepts can be defined in different ways, but the best way to put it together is to say that they are concepts that help geographers answer to geographic questions. The list of geographic concepts depend on the geographer’s perspective, but they are usually combined under five main ideas:-Relative location-Mental map-Sense of place-Diffusion-Cultural landscape When a geographer wants to answer to a geographic question that covers a landscape component. He or she picks the scale(s) of analysis, then applies at least one geographic concepts with a specific end goal in order to answer the question. As a deduction it can be said that geographic concepts help geographers understand basics of geography, and it also helps them answer to geographic questions.
